In The Sun....

The United Kingdom, like all countries, is affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

But even during this period, marked by an almost general confinement, the UK is still thinking strongly about the 'after'.

The proof is in the April 25th edition of "The Sun" which, in its "Travel" section, promotes Corsica as a destination.

Why choose a guided cycling tour?

Corsica, our "island of beauty", offers fantastic cycling through beautiful and varied landscapes.

A guided bike trip is a formula that offers many advantages, in particular:  the possibility of a stress-free holiday with someone else responsible for all of the logistics, and the opportunity to meet, and be a part of, a group of like-minded people.

A Corsican Feast: Food, Culture, Landscape

As the greenest island in the Mediterranean, visually, Corsica looks sumptuous and rich. It is, exactly that, a land of riches:  The food has intense flavour; the culture stands strong and proud and the landscape is unforgiving in its wild beauty.

The Hairy Bikers’ Mediterranean Adventure

Several years ago, I wrote to the Hairy Bikers, pleading them to come to Corsica, so it was with delight and satisfaction that I watched the “Hairy Bikers’ Mediterranean Adventure”, which you can catch on either BBC2 or BBC iplayer, or failing that, you can see what they’ve been up to here: http://www.hairybikers.com or here: https://www.facebook.com/HairyBikers/

Cycling on Corsica

Cycling on Corsica – a superb location for your next, or even your first, cycling holiday

As well as being known as the Isle of Beauty, Corsica is also known as the ‘Mountain in the Sea’. That’s why Europe Active, the adventure cycling holiday specialist, is convinced these hilly landscapes mean that it’s a rewarding location for leisure, road and mountain bikers alike.  Here’s why:

Top tips on bike rental in Corsica

If you are planning a cycling holiday on Corsica this year, here are some top tips on bike rental in the area from Europe Active – the adventure cycling tours expert.

Be organised
It is best to be organised for your bicycle holiday on Corsica. The ‘Isle of Beauty’ is a fabulous location for cycling. It is a real ‘get away from it all’ place, and because of that it doesn’t have a cycle hire shop on every corner, (thankfully). So you need to think ahead to prepare for your Europe cycling tour. Will you take your own bike? Will you hire a bike? What kit will you need?

Cycling Cape Corsica and the Gulf of St Florent

Cycling Cape Corsica and the Gulf of St Florent – here’s why Corsica is a destination not to be missed!

Corsica is known as the Isle of Beauty – and rightly so. It is the ultimate escape.  If you’re planning your break this year, here are just some of the reasons why Corsican cycling holidays are not to be missed:

Corsica and the Artisans' Route

Sometimes, sun and beaches just aren’t enough. Getting a nice tan in Ibiza or Majorca can be a top priority for some, especially when you live in a cold and rainy country and wear a mac 24/7, but these long hours spent on the beach can leave you wanting for something a little more special.

Our job at Europe Active has always been to plan and customize trips with bouncing ideas that aren’t usually found elsewhere.

Hairy Bikers

An open letter to the Hairy Bikers; why you should come to Corsica.

Dear Hairy Bikers,

If you’ve not been to Corsica, then it’s about time you did.

The island

It really is one of the last hidden gems of Europe and is a MUST SEE in everyone’s life time. Both the French and the Italians have strongly influenced the island and its food; and yet, Corsica stands proudly and fiercely in its own culture and traditions. Corsica can only be described as unique, in terms of its people, its language, and its landscapes and importantly to you, in its cuisine.

FlyBikeFly

Want to ride your own bike on Corsica, but don’t want to waste time driving down through France?  We just might have the solution for you...

A motorbike holiday on Corsica; nothing could be more idyllic.  You like the look of our rental bikes, and you quite fancy a tour on our new BMW GS800 but you’ve grown rather attached to your own motorbike and finally you have the opportunity to open up the throttle and take it on a proper journey.  But wait the drive to Dover, the ferry crossing to France and the long journey across the continent (which you’ve done before) are not an incentive.  Your pillion will be complaining before you reach the Côte D’Azur.  So, what’s the solution?

Why not fly in comfort to Nice, where your bike will be waiting for you?
